Week 1 & 2
Mostly spending time renovating the House! We ripped up all the 20 year old carpet and have beautiful flooring. We also had to order and install a new Refrigerator, FULL SIZED. Then of course the shopping to fill it. It honestly took about $900 in food to even fill it, but I’m also going to be set for a few months. It’s insane how much everything costs now-a-days. But it’s been worth it.
We’ve also cleaned out the new Studio space as well as the House so it’s just a ton of cleaning supplies and ways to keep the new stuff from ever becoming filthy. Stainless steel cleaner, Floor mopping stuff, etc.
Aside from all of that I’ve made some decisions and will be working around Twitch/YouTube things but in a better light to be honest. I was complacent for the start of this year and then things were on pause due to the fire, but it’s time to finally get down to business! Everything I did not get to do during summer is now being given attention and it makes me very happy to do so!
Week 3 & 4
Since taking it easier on the Twitch side and not editing videos for a little over a week it’s been a big relief. The part that is harder to deal with is that my body is less stressed but detoxifying and hurting like I’ve run a marathon. The last 3 months were far more difficult than I realized. Your body tells you the truth and mine is screaming.
The studio is coming along nicely though. Organizing things and looking for things I forgot where they were left. I had an all out fight with my printer one day. Took 3 hours to make 10 prints. It was a good reset though. I’ve learned there are far more things to do maintenance on than I thought. We explored the settings quite thoroughly and now I have a bigger list of things to check when the printer wants to be a butthead. I did manage to get all of my prints done though! And they look amazing. I’d still like to send out for fine prints one day with archival inks. But for now we’ve got to get the Silhouette up and running. Ready to cut some stickers and iron on vinyl.
Ending Notes
Happy to say that I’ve unpacked some boxes that haven’t been opened since my big move. Finding a lot of things and figuring out where to place them for now. It’s been rough since it’s a combination of dust and ash as I’m vacuuming EVERYTHING in the studio. I find myself inhaling these terrible things and coughing a lot. It’s best that these moments are limited to weekend cleanups only. My body needs a break from the nasties. It does however fill me with even more joy seeing everything getting organized so that I can spend more time there. Thank you to everyone who has been so patient with me.
