So you guys ready for this shit?

First Week.

Second to last week.

Okay. So it’s a mess. But rather, it wasn’t much of a mess until the end of March.

We’ve got one week left and my major appliances are still in boxes waiting for me to organize that desk on the right. All the computer stuff, and my Cintiq are on the left against the wall.

Needless to say it’s just a mess and I will be getting it back on track by the second week of April for sure.

Below are some more images of the journey and how it usually goes once we’re up there trying to unpack and get things done.

Dirt Road!

Following Dad up the dirt road to make sure none of my boxes fall out of his truck. :S

Gate Entry

In order to reach the higher mountain roads there’s a gate you have to pass through. Each member has their own personal lock.

Playpen Bed

The Playpen had to go on my Queen-sized bed because there wasn’t enough room to put it anywhere else. It was necessary to acclimate the cats in the easiest way possible without letting them run a muck.

The initial introduction to the mountain home went pretty well with Yui. She LOVES the room to dash around like a horse derby.

Unlike Yui, she was not happy with the transition but quickly discovered there was a lot more freedom to be had.

Someone discovered the window on the far side. She LOVES to sit in this window now.

All finished with the screen to protect the point of entry from both letting bugs in and letting cats out.

Storage Space

It also created some extra space for storing boxes we don’t need right away. Dad wasn’t too sure about this whole idea at first but now he LOVES it.

SUNSHINE!!!! And the snow all melted. The weather changes so quickly up here.

It’s always pure Chaos. You rely on the weather to behave so you can have a nice drive, or work on something outside.

But it’s always Mother Nature who tells you when you can or can’t do things.

TV Stand

Dad was putting together a TV/PS4 stand for me to have in the bedroom.

But then we decided to stain it…

Staining Examples

I don’t know much about staining wood, but Dad was nice enough to let me go through his collection of Stains and make some pieces to look at before making a final decision.

Clearly you’ll have to wait until next week to see the finished product of the TV stand. We picked a final stain and even though it sat outside all day it still smelt.

We had to put it in the garage while we came to town, so he’ll finish the installation while the cats and I are down in town. Makes it easier on us all.

I know there’s always such a massive influx of pictures from the Mountain Home. If you guys enjoy it I’ll try to keep it up. Otherwise I’ll save most of the info for Vlogs.
