An Artist’s Hobbies
Taking a little side track blog to talk about something that’s come to mind!
So I’m an Artist full time. That means I’m working on mainly Digital Art and taking Commissions. So what do I do in my free time if drawing and art is my job!? Well I have some ideas for you. This small blog is dedicated to things I personally do in my free time, so if you’re interested in learning any of it feel free to ask about it!
My Hobbies:
In reality I’m just a creative person who’s going to be creative most of my time or if I need a break there’s plenty of real world things to do as well.
Clearly I wouldn’t be doing many of these very often. It depends on my mood and what I’m interested in. If I’ve worked with my hands and drawing is just too much I break away from anything involving my hands. Though MOST of my hobbies need the use of my hands.
Just remember to physically let your body take breaks. If I worked with my hands one day, I break the next day. I’ll work with my hands again the day after tomorrow. It’s a good habit to keep yourself from getting hurt. Because I’ve made the mistake of drawing for two days in a row, then on the third decide to crochet. My hands hurt and I get tennis elbow. NOT fun. So be careful.
No matter what hobbies you have, make sure they are different from your “JOB” whatever it may be. If I were only drawing digital art, and that’s all I did in my free time I’d get burnt out. I haven’t had an art burnout in almost a decade.
